Call for Roundtable Participants
Stimulating Undergraduate Anthropology Excellence: Scholarships and other Funding, Awards and Recognition
FOSAP (Federation of Small Anthropology Programs) Roundtable for
Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association, San Jose, CA November 2018

Undergraduates attracted to anthropology respond well to even modest recognition and opportunities, yet advisors as well as students are often unaware of the many programs, organizations, honor societies, and granting agencies available to them. This roundtable session explores faculty and student experiences with these programs and awards as well as ways to develop recognition for and obtain funding and awards for undergraduate anthropologists, including: private and federal scholarships, research and travel grants, field schools, types of awards that universities and agencies offer for undergraduates, Lambda Alpha honor society, and sub-organizations of the AAA in which there is an undergraduate paper or poster prize.

Please contact Discussant Faith Warner (fwarner@bloomu.edu) and copy Organizer Tom Love (tlove@linfield.edu) by April 10th if possible. (We face a hard deadline of 16 April.)
